Baby 100- A Challenge Accomplished

Before I start this I wanna thank Christy Quinn for allowing me to use her sim Judd Burnette as the father for babies 98 & 99. I forgot to thank her in my last post so I'm thanking her now. :)
It wasn't long until it was finally time for babies 96 & 97, Joey and Kevin, to become teenagers. They both grew to be the most beautiful and most handsome of their class. Boys are piling up to take Joey out and the girls are falling at Kevin's feet to get him to notice them. They definitely wont have any problems finding dates to their prom in the spring.
Just like their older siblings babies 98 & 99, Oscar and Lessie grew into some good looking kids. I can only imagine what they'll look like as a couple teenagers.
~*~
"I'm completely at a lost on who I should make the final father be. I mean it will be my last baby so I sorta want the last father be somewhat special. You know what I mean?" I sat at the table and waited for Skye or even Della to come up with any ideas. I invited them for a day out just for that, but so far we got nothing, but I need an idea or I'll never finish my challenge.
I was about to call it a day until Skye spoke the words I've been wanting to hear. "OH! I got an idea! Maybe the father to your baby 100 can be a baby 100 himself from someone else's challenge? That would be so cool."
"Skye you're brilliant. I love that idea." I couldn't contain my excitement of finally having some sort of an idea from my friends. "But who has finished their challenge with baby 100 being a boy though?" That was the question that stumped me. I know plenty of moms that finished their challenge, but I haven't the foggiest idea of what the gender was of their final babies.
"How about Asa? My final boy?" Della said as she walked over from the telescope. She hadn't said a word until now.
"Wait but isn't Asa your baby 99?" Skye pointed out.
"Oh yeah! Sorry!"
"No wait that's even better! I mean Della's mom is the woman who inspired me to start my challenge and I used her son Clark for baby 50, so it's perfect if her daughter's final son be the father to my final baby."
"Great, I'll call him now. He's with Adam at the stadium." Della pulled out her cell phone and started to dial Asa's number. Only after a few rings that Asa finally answers.
Asa happily agreed to stop by and meet me and Skye. Della didn't want to tell him over the phone that I wanted him to join my challenge in case he refuses and not show up. So she just told him to meet a couple of her friends before it was time for them to leave and head back to Langley island.
20 minutes after Della's call with Asa ended, he showed up at our location. His friendly smile faded once he slowly started to realize that his mom called him here under false pretenses.
"Asa this is Dawn and I called you here because she would like you to join her challenge." Della tried to speak calmly as she explained to Asa why he was really here. The last thing any of us want is to have Asa refuse my offer and I'm back to picking out another father.
"Join your challenge? Well, I don't know." Asa was hesitant as my offer and I didn't want to lose him as a father for my last baby so I jumped up from my seat and approached him.
"Look, there's no woohoo involved. Just donate your sperm to the hospital and that's it. That's all there is to it. So will you join?" I stood there with a pleading smile on my face- waiting for Asa to answer.
"Well, I guess it's okay. Yeah, I'll join."
"Really? Thank you so much!!"
I gave Asa directions to the nearest hospital and he headed there right away. I was gonna meet him there later.
Once Asa left I turned around and faced Della and Skye. "Well I guess I got my final father. I'll talk to you ladies later?"
"Definitely, just message me on Simbook."
"Yeah, and make sure you give me updates on my grandchild."
"Of course."
I gave them each a hug before they left for their homes and I left for the hospital.
I stood outside the hospital doors and waited for Asa. It wasn't long before he walked out and approached me with a smile on his face. "Well there you have it, and good luck with your challenge."
"Thank you so much Asa. I really appreciate this." I leaned over and gave him a friendly hug, then I made my way into the hospital.

For the last few days Newbie had barely spoken a word to me. He seemed so secretive and distant. I tried to asked him if anything was the matter but he just kept insisting that nothing was wrong and that he was just busy lately. No matter how many times he told me this I couldn't shake the feeling that knows I'm hoping to get married after my challenge and he's just not ready or doesn't feel the same.
"Yes, mom. I have it. One of my coworkers is holding it for me for safe keeping...."
".....Yeah that's fine, just don't tell too many people. I don't want Dawn finding out."
Newbie hung up his phone just as I walked outside to find out what the call was about. I was too late but that wasn't gonna stop me from asking.
"Newbie, who was that?"
"That was my mom. She was checking up on me. Look Dawn, I have to go, it's getting late. But I'll call you tomorrow."
"Oh? Okay. Well let me know you made it home safe okay?"
"Yes, of course."
Newbie then lean over and gave me one quick kiss, then he ran off towards his car.

In a matter of days I finally felt the first kicks of my 100th baby. I couldn't believe I'm already pregnant with baby 100 and when he or she is born I'll be finished with my challenge. It's all so exciting, yet sad. I'm gonna miss doing this challenge but now I can move on with my life do bigger and better things.
To celebrate me being pregnant with my final baby I decided to call a few challenge moms over to hang out. Some moms I haven't seen in a while; including Violet Newbie, Ashby Lemi, Calista Smith....
...Leah Sierra...
...Salline Trish...
...and new challenge mom, Jessica Mason.
The girls gathered around in the living room and we chatted about our lives. Calista just had her 84th baby, Violet talked about her daughter Wisdom and our grandson Deacon, and Leah talked about her trying to find herself. We had different stories to share to one another and were all here to listen to each other's worries.
Then it was my turn to talk whats going on with me. I pretty much talked non stop about how excited I am about being done with my challenge after the baby is born. They all congratulated me and went on asking me questions like Do you know the gender? and Have you decided on a name yet? I just kept telling them they'll just have to wait. :P
Once all the excitement died down I started  talking about things that have been worrying me.
"I don't understand, I think Newbie is hiding something from me."
I looked over to Ashby in hopes that she'll say that she knows something since Newbie had called her several times in the last few days. She didn't say a word but she did have a look on her face that said she knew something that I didn't. Then she looked over at Violet and they both smiled. They definitely knew something and weren't telling me.
After a fun hour of our girl get together it was time for my friends to leave. As much as I wanted them to stay longer, they all had families too.
~*~
It hit me suddenly. The labor pains were so strong that I even started to cry. I was only able to make it through all this pain  knowing that soon my baby would be in my arms, safe and sound.
A few more breaths and a couple more pushes I gave birth to the last baby in my challenge.
I held my son close and began to tear up. I couldn't believe it. I had finally finished my challenge and now I'm holding baby 100 in my arms. I only wish my parents were still alive to see this day.
I decided to name my son Draaier, Draaier Turner. I had a hard time thinking up the perfect name for my last baby but holding him in my arms I knew the name was perfect. Draaier is Dutch and it means Turner.
Draaier is just perfect. I lifted him high and he giggled with delight. He looked so much like Asa when he smiles.
As I lowered Draaier he stretched out his tiny little arms towards me and grabbed a hold of my nose. I laughed as I tried to get him to let go but he just refused to loosen his grip.
~*~
After the birth of Draaier it was time to celebrate another group birthday. The first to age was baby 96, Joey Turner. Joey looked so much like her father with facial features and skin and hair color. She graduated with high honors and hopes to have a large family like her mom.
Then baby 97, Kevin Turner, aged up. He graduated his classes with good grades and and was voted best hair on a  male sim.
Baby 98, Oscar Turner was soon after and he grew to look a more like his father. He may look like a Turner but he had some features that said he was his father's son, such as his jaw shape.
Baby 99, Lessie Turner, grew to look a lot more like her father too. She too had Judd's jaw shape. I couldn't really tell what color eyes Judd had so I'm still pretty clueless on where my kids got those gorgeous green eyes.
Finally it was time to age my baby 100, Draaier Turner. Oh my gosh!!! Draaier looked to have gotten all the Wriner genes. He had no Turner gene in him what so ever. He even got the famous Della Wriner's hair, just like my baby 50 had. He is a spitting imagine of her father, Asa.
Draaier is a happy toddler. There was never a time I've seen him frown. Whenever I walk into his room he would be jumping up and down- excited to see his mommy there.
He's also a momma's boy, which is rare. Most of my sons were never  momma's boys, usually it was the girls that seemed to be attached to me. Oh how I love my baby boy.
~*~
To celebrate the arrival of my last baby Newbie wanted to take me on a special date- horseback riding through Hidden Springs. Which was weird since that last time I saw Newbie with a horse he nearly knocked me off my feet trying to save me from the thing. He had never really been around horses, so it was definitely a surprise to see him make the suggestion.
I wasn't really used to riding horses either. I have never taken classes, and I pretty much just housed a horse once, but that was a long time ago. So when I tried to get on the horse I wasn't surprised when I ended on the thing backwards.
"Dawn, sweetie that's not how to mount a horse."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I said mockingly as I turned myself around to face the right direction on the horse. "And you could do better?"
Newbie answered with a smile and then mounted his horse like a pro. My jaw dropped when he jumped once and he was perfectly seated. He didn't say it but I figured he must have taken riding classes behind my back.
Newbie let me lead and we both started off down a long trail. The ride was relaxing with the smell of nature in the wind, and the warm of the rising sun.
The sun had fully risen by the time we hit the halfway mark of the trail. We had barely spoken a word to each other since we started and I was beginning to worry about Newbie.
Out of no where a gust of wind hit me and when I looked up I saw Newbie riding past me with lightening speed.
I was caught off guard, so at first I didn't move at all.
And once I realized that Newbie was racing me I took off after him, but by this time he was so far ahead of me there was no way of beating him.
I had no idea where we were going and when Newbie went off trail I was confused. He had finally slowed done when he reached the lake.
My eyes never left Newbie as I rode up behind him. He never once looked at me and didn't say a word.
We both unmounted and left them to graze, while we stood and admired the lake's view.
I walked over and embraced Newbie. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and we both starred each other in the eyes. "This was a great date Newbie..."
"....Now tell me why you brought me here? I've seen the lake before, so what's so special about it now?"
"Here, I'll show you....."
Without another word Newbie got down on one knee. My heart began to race, but I had to cool it and remind myself that it could mean anything.
Then I saw the box. I had to stop myself my screaming and running into Newbie's arms. I had to calm myself down and wait. No need to ruin the moment.
I held my chest tight. My heart was beating so fast I thought it was gonna explode.
He lifted the box up towards and opened it. Inside was a diamond ring that shone as bright as the sun.
"Is... is that what I think it is?"
"Dawn....." Newbie began,"I know we haven't been a couple for long, but I've been in love you for the longest time. I told myself that I wanted to be with you always when you finally confessed your feelings to me, well when Addy told me your feelings." I couldn't help but giggle at that.
"So what I'm asking is for your hand in marriage. Dawn Evetta Turner, will you marry me?"
"Uh, YES! I would love to be Mrs. Newbie Starr."
With that Newbie pulled the ring out of his little blue box and lifted it to my hand.
When he slipped that ring on my finger I began to cry. This day couldn't get any better then it already has.
I admired the ring on my finger and I squealed with excitement.
I can't believe that soon I'll be Mrs. Starr, and Newbie will be my husband. Newbie must of had this planned all along: The calls, the secrets, Ashby and Violet's look when I mentioned Newbie. It was all beginning to make sense.
"NEWBIE!!!" I yelled as I ran into Newbie's awaiting arms.
"You have made me the happiest girl alive."
Newbie squeezed me tight like he never wanted to let me go, and I never want to let him go either.
"I love you Dawn, always have."
I looked up and into Newbie's eyes with tears still streaming down my cheeks. Smiling I said,"I love you too Newbie."
Then he pulled me close and we kissed to what seemed like forever.

OH MY GOSH!!! ^_^ I can't believe I finished my challenge!! This is so exciting. I never thought I would make it to baby 100, but when I started my challenge I told myself that I wasn't gonna give up on this challenge no matter what. When I commit to something I stick with it and now look what I've done. I finished the challenge.
Dawn had 100 babies
51 boys
49 girls
22 single births
16 sets of twins
13 sets of triplets
1 set of quads
2 adoptions
1 time machine baby
7 vampire babies
2 baby deaths
And a total of 52 pregnancies with 51 different daddies

But this isn't the end of Dawn just yet. Last month I set a poll on for you guys to vote rather or not Dawn should start a legacy after finishing her challenge. it seemed that 76% of everyone said yes, 6% said no, and 16% said surprise me. Well I made a new blog called A Life Not So Ordinary were Dawn will continue her life after the challenge and you can check it out here.

There are many thanks I have to give out.
Addy McKnight. Addy is one of my best friends and my editor to pretty much all my sims 3 stories. She taught me the difference between past and present tense when writing a story, but matter how many times she told me I never listen. :P
Ashby Lemi. Ashby is a wonderful person and friend. She was always there to give me advice when I need it, and is one of my biggest fans. :D I remember asking her if I could use Newbie in my challenge when he was just a kid. Ever since then I just couldn't let Newbie go and we both agreed that Newbie was perfect for Dawn.
Violet Newbie. Violet had been one of my friends since the beginning. She is sweet and kind and is  a talented writer (Ashby too). I was super excited when Violet said she wanted one of Dawn's sons for her daughter Wisdom, and when she said she wanted to use Preston I couldn't be any more excited since he was one of my favorites.
Della Wriner. Della was only the second baby challenge I ever read but she was my inspiration to start mine. I thought it was perfect when I used Della A's son for baby 50, and Della E's son for baby 100. She's also a great friend and person and continues to wright the Wriner challenges. She's already started generation 3. You go girl! :D
These are just a few of many people to thank. There's also Calista Smith, Leah Sierra, Christy Quinn, Destiny Rose, & Amber Lights, who's writing and blogs inspire me to become a better writer (same for the names mentioned above). I another thanks to my readers, to the people who commented on my posts, the people who allowed me to use their sims in my blog and in Dawn's challenge, Thanks to people who had gifted me items from the sims 3 store. And much more thanks to everyone else.
You all are wonderful and thank you reading my blog. :)
